Sorry I only started this today, as was waiting on printer ink arriving.
I'm sure you are all cracking on with today's numeric (!) but if anyone has 4620 to hand I'd love help to finish.
I only have 17d and 35a to solve, not really sure which clues go there, suspect 17d comes from 24 in set three and 35a maybe from 13 in set one?
Then also in set three I don't have the letters to change in 24 and 33.
So I'm hoping with a nudge, I'll have all seven letters and can crack the theme and highlighting, as I'm not seeing it at the moment, science not my subject....
Oh finally, I'm still in the dark about 6d, Scottish one, I've entered a 'hidden' amphibian but don't know why.

Hi Lumen,

Yes 17d comes from 24 and 35a comes from 13.

24 the letter change is in "choir" and 33 it's in "reeds"

6d the answer is hidden (very early in the clue) it's not a definition I knew but is a common word.

PS if you look up "paddock" in Chambers you'll see a reference to your amphibian answer.

There's no indication it's a hidden word clue is there?
Anyway thanks, just the first letter of 17d to get. Suddenly I saw all the theme words, highlighting and surnames etc.

17d seems to be another hidden word without indicator! (Before anagramming)
