Hi Malone! If the second half of 37 goes in near the top, then the only spot it fits for me makes my 13 across entry look rather dodgy. Is the first half of 13 across a straightforward entry?

Thanks Malone

I'm with Suzannahj - with 13 across as it is 1 down is a mess.

Hey ho - back to diving for molluscs

The second half of 37 goes in at 15A. The anagram for second half of 33 is a Spanish city.

Completed to the point I am happy to submit so allowed to look in here.
One thing is niggling though. My reading of the preamble suggests that in each set paired answers are entered in two different ways.
I cannot see two different ways in set 3. They all seem to be treated in the same way before entry.
I have tried devices such as rotating and flipping letters in this and other sets but cannot get anything to work other than normally entered letters in each cell.
Have I missed something?

I don't think you've missed anything, smithsax. The 2 ways of treating set 3 clues just amount to the same thing. At least, that's how I've interpreted it.

I presumed the part of the preamble 'in one set all answers are entered jumbled' was there because setter couldn't find a suitable entry form for one of the types...so was entered in same way as it's partner...

I'm stuck in some in the NW corner to complete the grid. Would appreciate any nudges on 5 down and 19 across which I assume is the second part of 28.

For “EVERY clue” “the two answers are entered in ways suggesting their sets typeS, one in EACH WAY.”
Seems pretty unambiguous.
It would be very clever if spinning the letters in other types (for instance turning the page upside down to write in the up answers) would allow two distinct forms of entry in set three but after a couple of days of playing with it I cannot see it.
I am going to submit as I have it but I sense a trap.

5d guide is the defn ..starts with M....entered as anagram
19a ...defn is old fashioned semitone...anagram of copy n (beethoven's 9th) + another n

Thank you Kirky. I was barking up the wrong tree with 5dn and 19a was completely unknown to me.
