Can't get 12D or 25D..i have ?ALLEO and EM?LET. It's driving me nuts. Are they the 2nd clues of 9 and 11, respectively?

the O is wrong in the first ....should be C E LL AR ...c beg of church, LL lines inside ear (organ)....change the e and a for entry

the 1st E is wrong in the second one ...should be O and your missing letter is E ... enter normally

Yes! Forgot to anagrammise it, and it caused me no end of trouble. 😁

Many thanks Brendan for your help with 26 across - I'd made a one letter error in 3 down which explains my problem there. Still determined to battle on so could someone offer another hint and another steer please?
Where does the second half of 37 go? I've solved it and put it in at 36 across (reversed). This appears to be wrong .
Secondly I've solved the second half of 33 but cannot find an anagram.

A general observation is that I do feel this one is worth persevering. If it was less interesting I'd have given up and gone diving for molluscs on the seabed. This forum is so very useful.

Thanks for the tip, Crates. I've started filling in the grid now and am managing to slot in most of my answers easily enough, even though I'm yet to figure out the reasons for much of what I'm doing - or the relevance of six-packs and groups of sixes. But maybe that will all become clear later...

Williamseal, the second half of 37 goes in near the top. There's definitely an anagram for to the second half of 33, but I needed an anagram finder (not Chambers word wizard) to get it.
