Good morning, Cerasus!
Ah!
So it is not just us folks North of the border who have "wonky" numbering, as Elle was wondering!
I think you are on to something, though.
It matters not if I am logged in or out, the "latest" post has "wonky" numbering.
But....!
I have always had "oldest" posts first, but just now I edited it to "newest" posts first, and behold!
The numbering is correct!
So, I'll leave it like that as an experiment, for now.
It is the "delayed" appearing posts that bug me.
When they are on the main page, but not there when you open the thread!
Anyway, Cerasus, thank you for your input!

I'm pleased it has helped a bit, rusty.
A few days back, I also saw a post by you on the main page, but no sign of it on opening the thread. I cannot recall if I was logged in or out !
The captcha pictures are a dreadful nuisance today. Caterpillars I am out to get you ........

Thank you for that, Cerasus!
I am relieved I was not just imagining a post was a-missing!
The Captcha pictures are a poor quality, too, which does not help.
Be gentle with the caterpillars!

Good morning, Rusty!
Yes, damp here, too!
I am just back from the park with a poggy dog!
I have been reading the exchanges between you and Cerasus......
And I see that you have now changed your settings to "newest posts first", as I had suggested the other day.....
And this seems to have resolved your problem?
(Although it doesn't of course explain it)
However, it would certainly account for why I myself am having no trouble, as, of course, I have always had my settings on showing the "newest post first" format.
I think you may well prefer this setting once you get used to it......it is certainly easier and more convenient, especially on the PCT!
Anyway, I am glad things are improving for you!
It is sheer chaos here.......the builders arrived at 8am., just as I was leaving for the park....
There is now scaffolding up all over the dining room and kitchen...and a lot of banging!
We have been forbidden entry!
Anyway, I am away out very shortly to see my friend...and will not be home again until around teatime.
I hope your day goes smoothly......
Catch you later?

Hello, Elle!
It's a great day here!
Fine weather!
I am very pleased Cerasus noticed the same issues as Malone and me.
I have gone back to my preferred way of viewing.
Oldest posts first, because I prefer that way.
It is very odd, though, and only on PCT thread.
Your builders are quite right to keep you out.
They have work to do!
Hope you get on fine with your friend!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I am home again now.......
We had rain this morning, but it is just dull and cloudy now....... cooler than of late.
My friend is coping.......just.
It is hard for everyone, and confusing for the young ones.
The builders have been having to make do with DIY food and drink today, as we were banned from the kitchen....access being impossible because of the scaffolding.
They have done a lot of work.....the scaffolding is now down, the ceiling having been boarded and replastered.
They have taken down the dust sheets for today.....and are now hoovering the carpet.
Great guys!
I think they are reckoning on two more 'working days' to finish the job - that is including the necessary repainting and redecorating.
I am well impressed!
How has your day been?

Good afternoon, Elle!
It has turned cloudy here and fairly windy.
I feel for your friend.
My family had a similar experience.
You builders appear to be going well!
Another couple of days and things will be back to normal.
A quiet day here.
Miss L-B and me went to Pine Cone.
It was quiet there today.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I remember your saying.........
It is certainly hard.
We are doing our best to be supportive.
I may have got the builders some more work!
Not that they need it! They are in great demand locally....and even further afield.
A friend who owns the local pet shop came round this evening with my delivery ...and was so impressed by the "new" ceiling (she had seen the previous hole!) that she asked for the builders' name and contact number!
You will have enjoyed your outing with Miss L-B to the Pine Cone.
I expect your son will be arriving soon?

Good evening, Elle!
I am sure your builders will appreciate the extra business.
Word of mouth is the best advertising, my sons tell me.
Miss L-B and me had a very nice outing.
My son was here earlier.
Had a good time.
