Good morning, Rusty!
It was raining here when we went for our walk....and very chilly, only 6C.
Back to Winter!
I liked what I saw of Aberdeen, when I attended a Symposium there, some years ago.
The beaches were lovely and seemed to stretch for miles.
Although Miss ATW will not be there for very long, if the company is moving to Dundee within a few months.
Yes, I liked the anagram!
The Houses of Parliament as a building is very impressive..... as a Government , not quite so ......
And probably at present deserving of the anagram!
What are you up to today?

Hello, Elle.
Stumped!
I see your post on the main page but it is not on my thread.
Maybe this post will chase it up!

Hello, Elle!
Your post has turned up!
There are lots of firms from Dundee and up the coast, especially Aberdeen, dealing with the off-shore work.
Been lots of work done deepening the harbours to get the rigs etc in.
No sign of Storm Hannah here, but I am hearing from across the sea that it was pretty bad overnight.
I liked the anagram.
They send me quite a few things like that every Saturday morning.

Hi, Rusty!
Well, the rain has stopped but it remains dull.....and very cold.
It was strange seeing folk out in their padded coats, scarves and gloves again this morning!
I thought I had put all such away for the Summer.
I don't know what else to suggest about the postings that hasn't already been said?
You can tell Norah... use the "newest post first" facility.... or else send a "mock " post ahead of your reply in order to call up the "missing" post that you cannot see/ find?.....
As you seem to be against the "newest post first" scenario - I prefer it! - I think you should tell Norah?
I am sure she would wish to know and would be grateful to you for informing her.....
She and Ash would want all to be running smoothly for everyone.
Right, I have done some clearing up......but no point in moving all the furniture and odds and bobs back into the dining room, though, until after the builders have finished....
So now I will take a look at my crosswords !

Hello, Elle,
I am not complaining about the missing post, merely pointing it out.
I'll look in later, to see if it is any better.
Off for a walk now.

Hi, Rusty!
We are about to go out, too, for a walk with the dog - all of us well wrapped up against the piercing cold that is suddenly upon us!
A very brisk walk will be in order!
Have you done today's crossword?
I am having trouble with my own puzzle......
And didn't we have the author "Lessing" as an answer to a clue only recently?
Oh dear! Let us hope some fresh air might clear my head!
Enjoy your walk!

Good evening, Elle!
Been raining here but dry now.
Yes, I have finished my puzzle.
I can not remember "Lessing" but I do not have a great memory anyway!
I have Lessing as an answer today.
A German writer, I think he was.

Rusty, I liked your 'A German writer, I think he was' - I'd assumed the writer was the much more famous/widely-known female British author! It was just as well I didn't get too smug - the internet showed me that there WAS an author, a German author, with the same surname! That one died in 1781, so I am very impressed with your wide-ranging knowledge!

Hello, Malone!
I knew the female's name but did not know she was a writer!
And it was Google who led me to the German lad.
Probably the setter meant the British lady, but happily there was a German writer of the same name!
