I think I know what you mean, but how do you make bones look like furniture?

Quite easy. I have made a small stool from 3 tibiae and a few ribs.

Grunger, Jigjag, is this another word that Chambers has got wrong? The definition of 'age' includes 'to determine the age of'.

I haven't had a moan for ages, so here's a double helping...

1. Wrestled stronghold for dictator (6).
2. Broadcast example of Irish folk leaving behind for Paris (8)

Neither work for me!

I suppose you could argue that "date the bones" sounds odd too, if you take "date" to mean "go out with"!

Thanks, Jono, yes, it was - sorry! I'd scribbled it down (on the back of an envelope) and missed that word out when I came on here.

In the Sharpe films, Sergeant Hakeswill (played by Pete Postlethwaite) says both "make no bones about it Sharpie" and "I'll make no bones about it".
I wonder which is correct?
