Hi NickBev,

Welcome to the Forum:-)

Yes, 4 letter "sugar refiner" (and gallery) goes after 3 letter "fine" (as in great, fab etc) - definition is "salt". If it's any help it's a down clue.

Thanks Brendan. Think I’ve just worked out that have the wrong F. Had Flame for fire which unfortunately also works!

Katnw think of a very exclusive exotic island and take out the ‘t’. This will give you the first word, also kind of related to the ‘noted’ in the clue. I typed this first word into google and found the phrase.

I am finding the rest of today’s puzzle really challenging. Please can I have a clue for ‘i’ and ‘y’ as I hope these will help me move on.

Thank you

Hi nickih,
I is a legal phrase in Latin. Simpson is American but not the cartoon character
Y is a religious school. Wordplay is a 5 letter god preceded by how Paul might have referred to all of us in olden times

Y is a two letter old English term for you followed by an Indian god. The whole is a Jewish religious school. I’m still looking for I myself.

Not sure about the Spanish in the Q clue. The only solution I can fit in refers to a different place altogether.
