Looks good Merenz - but, of course, I've only scanned it 😉

Bingo! Many thanks Brendan. The only symbol I could think of using is a currency symbol which combines both letters. I have no idea if that’s right... but it’ll do! GWIT indeed

If it's GWIT, I usually get a PDM with my FOI after consulting the BRB.

(Actually I don't like these abbreviations. I only recently found out what BRB meant, having assumed it was Bradford's something something.)

If you've read the Fifteen Squared blog, you'll know it wasn't P(RAD)O in the middle. The setter has given a generous apology for the ambiguity, but is leaving the revelation of what the middle square should be until the solution is published.

Game on until the weekend? I've got nowhere so far.

I wonder if it's going to to be the German camera lens guy.

Who is that, Brendan? I think we can be more direct now the blog is up (I hope others agree).

Apparently this one is fully cryptic so we may not just be looking for a word that's spelt P symbol O. There's a song by Charles Aznavour called "Quiet Love" but that would mean a blank square (space bar?) Nah.

From what Penumbra says it could be something like P*O to signify the novel Starinpo by that well-known writer, Charles Gwit...

Hi Loge,

I've just reread Penumbra's post on FifteenSquared and I think that rules that idea out, but it was PENTERO which was created by Carl Zeiss (Carl/Karl being the German equivalent of "Charles")

I think it has to be more cryptic, but it's a good suggestion and certainly better than my daft ideas!
