Howl, howl, howl, howl, howl! OK, it's not that one, but the sentiment is real enough. The 5,6 given by the final words in the misprints could refer to the 9-letter character (whose 5,6 is at I,2,422) or to the 5-letter one (whose 5.6 is at I,2,207) - the lines may be one or two out as my copy is, like the 5-letter guy, hard to see on occasion. Alas, neither 6 offers any light (!) whatever. A pointer to the X,y,z in question would be welcome. Although I don't have Sir Andy to concentrate on, other types at SW19 are not unimportant, and there are only so many hours in the day. (Schadenfreude's latest in CAM looks a real shocker too.)

The irony is that none of the above actually matters, Cockie. The instruction is all that is needed to complete the puzzle.

I have absolutely no idea what hint is given by the misprints in region A, I can make words but how they relate to each other is a mystery. I am assuming that letters in region B move in some sort of structured was, possibly in the same column to give thematic items in region A. Would that be correct?

Very clever puzzle indeed, though I still have no idea what the misprints in region A were about. Too clever for me, obviously - but I am satisfied to limp over the finish line.

The endgame made up for a lot of agony en route but I have a remaining confusion: should I replace as much as possible or just what is required to make 8 thematics appear? The former seems more likely but also very onerous.

Hello, if there's anyone still there. Without going into details, I've only been able to start the puzzle this evening. I have another hour of this evening available and perhaps an hour or two tomorrow morning, and that's all. I've not looked at the rest of the thread (it's perfectly possible to come onto the forum and avoid reading anything) so possibly I'm going to ask some questions which have already been asked. If so, please excuse me. I'd like to cut short some of the time in solving the mid section of the puzzle. To that end, if any kind soul can give me the answers (not hints, I don't want hints) to : Most of planes...; Stand is place...; One of the D...J; Fabric unravelled...; On account of this...; and Amusement regarding...
