16Ac is driving me nuts. I have OWF at letters 2,3,4.

What word can this be? If a bed is a COT, and perfected heart is FEC, we could have COWFECT. Interesting word don't you think? So any help would be appreciated.

The definition for 16 is "make up".

Thanks to the last three posters. I had CAW for 13D which was obviously a problem. That looked very good in fact since CAW = rook, and CA are the first two letters of "castle".

I don't like asking for answers, but I have one left at 15A. I can see L or T as the fourth letter, but which, and why?

I'm gonna answer my own question and go with T. I'm OK with that.
