Hi, Rusty!
Good news!
All went well at my husband's checkup - the lung Xrays are clear, with no sign of the cancer returning.
It is such a relief to be told that!
He doesn't have to report back for twelve months next time!
How has your day been?
Did you get out for a walk - or has it been too wet?
I expect by now you are watching Ireland play football?
I shall now take a look at the crosswords........

Good evening, Elle!
That is splendid news regarding the hospital check=up!
You both will be delighted!
Yes, I had a walk.
Am watching the football.
Even sang the anthem!
The Irish and Swedes are getting on great.
Saw them dancing in the streets together and singing Westlife and Abba songs!
Why not, indeed!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, we are so pleased and relieved - I hadn't realised quite just how much of a strain waiting for the latest results had been, until it was behind us!
I am working on our going out to celebrate!
Put "worry" on the back burner for a while......
I 'd forgotten that resetting the Freeview box to factory settings would wipe out all my recording fixtures......so no "Eggheads" tonight when I just checked in to watch what I thought I had recorded!
I shall have to check through the TV guide to see what else I had intended to set to record.........
Your football should be finished by now........who won?

Hello, Elle!
Good idea, plan an outing for the two of you.
Yes, waiting on test results can be draining.
You will sleep tonight!
A draw, 1-1, was the result.
No complaints!
Did you check to see that ITV4 was still there?
Remember and tell the folk in the park you get ITV4 now!!!

Hi, Rusty!
I am already having trouble keeping awake! I think you are right; it has been more stressful than I realised...... and now I am relaxing! (and almost nodding off!)
I have just been checking in on Lassie - goodness, aren't the chicks big now?
I was reading the blog and it says they have been having a lot of rain.
Seemingly, much needed and appreciated on the site.
Lassie has apparently changed from sitting in a position such as to shade the chicks from the sun, into one shielding them with half stretched wings from the rain!
I wonder when the chicks will attempt to fly?
Yes, I do still have ITV4 (I keep surreptitiously checking!)
If only I had had it last week for the French Open!
And I missed the opening day of Queens because what I set to record didn't - as I explained before !
Still, the main thing is that the problem is now solved!
(I shall shout if from the hilltops tomorrow!!)

Elle, today's tennis was severely disrupted by rain today. Play stopped before it started, stopped again later...and later still. You missed very little!

Thank you for that, Malone!
I feel much better , knowing that I didn't miss much!
How odd though that they had all that rain - we live in SE London and didn't have much rain at all!

Hello, Elle!
I know all about the rain the chicks are getting!
They are not too far from me!
I know they should leave the loch in August some time to start making their way to Africa.
A lot to learn first, and a long dangerous journey ahead of them.
I am glad all is well with Freeview and you!
It was a worry!
I have Royal Ascot tomorrow.
Horses from France, Ireland, and America taking part.
And Peter Sagan won today's stage in Tour de Suisse and is now race leader.

Good morning, Rusty
!A dry start to the day, but sunshine and showers forecast for us later.
I wonder what will happen in West Kensington for the tennis?
I'm away soon to have my hair trimmed this morning........but hope to watch some tennis on my return.
I hadn't realised that you lived relatively closely to the osprey site? My Geography knowledge is abysmal!!
The chicks will indeed have a momentous task ahead of them , flying off to Africa in only a few months time.
You sound to have a busy day lined up.....I didn't know that Royal Ascot racing starts today.
Do you have any "favourites"? Any bets placed?
