Good morning, Elle,
Cancellara is Swiss, and he is in yellow in his home Tour, so that is very pleasing, too. This is his final season and when he hangs up his wheels I'll have to get a new hero! Probably Peter Sagan. I like him.
Sagan does not think the course at Rio will suit him, so he won't ride, but compete in the mountain bike event, instead. Mad!
You will have to get ITV4 fixed to watch Le Tour!

Good morning, Rusty!
A dull and dismal day here - we haven't been out yet.
We are having a lazy morning and will go out walking later.
I have a Triathlon to watch at some point - must check the time!
Now hang on....are you telling me here that I must have watched last year's Tour de France on ITV4????
If that is the case then this problem is newly arisen?
I cannot remember.... it is a channel I never normally use.

Hello, Elle!
As far as I know, le Tour was only transmitted on Eurosport and ITV4, in the UK. And you do not receive Eurosport,
I know I often watched it on ITV4 rather than Eurosport because I prefer their commentary team. I like Ned Boulting!
So, yes, it looks as if your ITV4 was working then, as you don't have Eurosport?
Lassie's chicks are getting big!

Hi, Rusty!
I suddenly wondered if that might be the case.........
"Curioser and curioser" as Alice said!
Very weird, though, don't you think?
I shall have to do some more "digging" - and just when I had resigned myself to a peaceful life!
I have a good clue for you from today's Everyman........it has a topical touch.......
(You must be able to parse it! I knew the answer before I worked out the parsing!)
9A: Claim I'm accepting about great boxer's expertise (15)
Well, anyway, I liked it!

Hello, Elle!
I have not a Scooby Doo!
The great boxer may be Ali?
But no, too difficult for me!

Morning!

Is 'scooby Doo' rhyming slang for clue Rusty? or is it a Scottish expression (or an English one that I don't know - and there are so many!)

Hello, Pigale!
It is in use around here as a rhyme slang for clue.
Not sure how far it has travelled.
But, " not a Scooby" or "not a Scooby Doo" means you have not a clue.

Hello again, Pigale!
Scooby or Scooby Doo must be fairly widespread.
Anne Bradford has it in her Dictionary under "clue".

Morning, Pigale!
How are you today!
"Scooby doo" - is accepted down here ( Rusty and Malone will hate this! ) as Cockney Rhyming slang for "clue"!!!!

Hello Elle,
I have seen the expression used by Rusty at times but I had never heard it before (While living in England that is)
Just wondered if it was Cockney - though scooby doo might be too modern for this.

Rather miserable here but no rain and temps no more than 19C with a cool breeze - not my type of weather for this time of the year!
What about you?
