Sorry to hear about the loss of yellow, rusty.

Could someone please tell the TV people we don't all like football?

There was absolute downpours of rain on the M40 today. It eased off and then came back with a vengeance. I went to the wood to burn some decaying decking but gave up that idea pretty soon! The guy who owns the next wood was having a party in spite of the rain, so joined in. He had some pretty good Spanish wine but I came home pretty soon. Woods lose their magic in the rain!

Hello, Pigale!
Steve won the stage in Criterium du Dauphine.
Sagan won in the Tour de Suisse.
Sorry, I did not make myself clear!
Too many bike races going on!
Great ride by Cummings!
Great to see a long lone break coming off!

Hi Rusty,

Yes, I realised I was mixing up the races; Cancellara did not take any part in the Dauphine !

Froome is looking in good shape.

I too used one of my heaters for an hour this afternoon ! Where has the Summer gone!

Hi, Rusty!
I'm sorry that Cancellara lost his yellow jersey........ so near .....and yet so far..........
But at least Sagan is ahead...and you like him!
I still find it all very complicated!
I have kept all my notes from last year....I shall have to do some "cramming/ revising"!
We had a good walk - surprisingly the weather bucked up for a spell - we even had some sunshine - although it has been raining again since we returned home.
Unlike for you, it is very warm and muggy here.
You have had your heating on....we are contemplating braving the loft, in search of the fans!
Did you watch the Norn Iron match?

Pigale, we have rain - but it' s very warm and muggy - we are contemplating getting out the fans!!!

I heartily agree about the football, too, Ros!
Especially when we only get one hour of Athletics highlights!
Unfair!

Hello, Elle,
Now, Sagan won today (yes, I am a big fan!) but he is not the race leader. The yellow jersey is decided on time, not on finishing positions.
Sagan is in 4th place.
The race leader is Jurgen Roelandts.
Cancellara is 2nd overall.
Just had a brief look at Norn Iron.
Been watching the news on the dreadful events in Florida.
You are getting more Diamond League highlights next Saturday!

Hey, Rusty!
Oh dear, I really do need to do some (cycling) revising......I have the notes here in front of me.... I printed them off at the time....... have no fear, I shall soon be an expert ....er...... well, maybe......
How are Norn Iron doing against Poland?
Yes, it is heart rending about all the deaths in Florida - they are quoting fifty now?
Oh good, I'm pleased to have more Athletics coming up..........but I do so wish that the TV coverage would extend to more than mere "Highlights".
It is far too rushed...the names of the competitors are no sooner up, then the race is over with, and the results are being shown.
Whew!
But I also have tennis all week.......I shall think it is Christmas!

Hello, Elle!
Norn Iron were a goal down to a much better Poland team.
You'll have to get yourself Eurosport!
Plenty athletics and tennis on there.
I was reading earlier about one of my favourite golfers.
Lydia Ko.
She was playing in the tournament and half way round she stopped and went into her bag.
Her Mum had packed a large selection of fruit for her.
Mangos, peaches, cherries (with pits removed).
Lydia shared them with her playing partners and caddies.
No wonder she is so popular!
She goes into the last round today with a one shot lead.
Fingers crossed for Lydia!

Hi, Rusty!
My daughter has just sent me a "What-to-do" list for when one has TV channels 'missing'!
To the eternal credit of my Scottish on-phone helper, it is practically a word-to-word account of what he told me to do!!!
None of which though has had any effect!
I watch so little television - and so very few channels - that I haven' t had a problem before until needing ITV4!
Although BBC's paucity of time allotted to Athletics should go towards colouring my decision, don't you think?
I shall certainly have to do some research into possible options - is Eurosport very expensive to have?
Lydia sounds a very nice young lady.
How is she doing?
