Hello, Elle!
Norn Iron were a goal down to a much better Poland team.
You'll have to get yourself Eurosport!
Plenty athletics and tennis on there.
I was reading earlier about one of my favourite golfers.
Lydia Ko.
She was playing in the tournament and half way round she stopped and went into her bag.
Her Mum had packed a large selection of fruit for her.
Mangos, peaches, cherries (with pits removed).
Lydia shared them with her playing partners and caddies.
No wonder she is so popular!
She goes into the last round today with a one shot lead.
Fingers crossed for Lydia!

Hi, Rusty!
My daughter has just sent me a "What-to-do" list for when one has TV channels 'missing'!
To the eternal credit of my Scottish on-phone helper, it is practically a word-to-word account of what he told me to do!!!
None of which though has had any effect!
I watch so little television - and so very few channels - that I haven' t had a problem before until needing ITV4!
Although BBC's paucity of time allotted to Athletics should go towards colouring my decision, don't you think?
I shall certainly have to do some research into possible options - is Eurosport very expensive to have?
Lydia sounds a very nice young lady.
How is she doing?

Hello, Elle!
That was very nice of your daughter!
I think, between you and your fine Scottish man you must have everything set up properly regarding Freeview box.
That leaves the aerial.
You may have a tree or somesuch blocking it?
Have you tried simply moving the aerial to a different position.
In a another part of the room? Higher etc?
Is there any help on YouTube?
Or WikiHow?
I get Eurosport through Sky and yes, it is expensive, because I get the SkySports channels, too.
On the positive side, Sky are very good to haggle with.
I have a 25% reduction with them.
I phone each year and find them very happy to reduce my payment.
Lydia has a one stroke lead over 4 players with 15 holes to go.

Hi, Rusty!
I have just had my weekly hour -long chat with my cousin!
All is well with the family up north; they are having even warmer weather than are we - and no rain!
Today they have been to the coast - St Anne's - and she tells me that they strolled along a path behind a waterfall!
I wonder if she had any handy bullock hides?
Her grandkids (cousins) are both ten; two years older than our eldest one;
They will be considering secondary education soon.
It is only three months now before BB starts Primary School.
Time is galloping along!
I don' t know about the aerial? As you know, we have just bought a new "high -powered" one......... the cord is only long enough, though, to plug into the back of the TV with the aerial standing on top (where it is supposed to be) - and the flex plugs in to the nearby power point.
(My husband has abdicated all responsibility - he doesn't have a clue how the Freeview box works! It's like the blind leading the blind here......)
I hope that Lydia is doing well- what is the time difference?

Hello, Elle!
You cousin is very lucky having a nearhand waterfall!
Does she know about the bullocks' hides?
Try this.
Prior to retiring for this night, switch off TV, aerial, and Freeview box and remove them from wall sockets.
Reverse this procedure in the morning and see how you get on with ITV4? Maybe a miracle will take place!
I still think a teenager is the best bet though.
Lydia is playing in Washington State. I do not know time difference.
She has a 3 stroke lead with 10 holes to go.
She is going for her third straight Major championship and is only 19. Some girl!

Good morning, Elle?
Did it work?
Not a very nice morning here.
Golf was very exciting!
Brooke Henderson beat Lydia in sudden death play-off.
Brooke is only 18.
The kids are all right!
Was that a song, perhaps?

Good morning, Rusty!
Now....are you sitting down.....?
Something has worked!!
I went through the gamut yet again! (for what must be about the sixth time!)
I unplugged every appliance overnight, then put back all bar the aerial this morning.
I retuned the Freeview box without aerial to rid the box of its "memory".
Then I put back the aerial and retuned again using the Default setting to get back the Channel settings (as originally from the factory).
To my delight - and utter amazement - I now have an operative ITV4!!!!!!!!
I shall try again in about an hour to see it is STILL there!
If you hear screaming.........!
I don't know Brooke Henderson. She must be good to beat Lydia?
Yes, a song by "The Who", I think?
Raining here now...altho I just managed my walk in time.
P.S. No idea why the strategy failed to produce the "goods" before?
Maybe a varying local signal? though if so that might mean I might lose the channel again?

Hello, Elle,
No flies on you, eh?
Well done!
Who needs teenagers!
Good news about ITV4!
And now you know how to resolve it in future if you happen to lose it again.
I do not think anyone knows why the switching everything off for a while routine works, but it often does.
I think you should reward yourself with a sticky bun!
Brooke Henderson is a young Canadian lady.
She was super!
Held her nerve while sinking long putts.
And the girl who came third is only 20!
It is a delight to watch these girls play with a smile on their faces and being so friendly with each other.
Great change from snarling ill-mannered footballers!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, ITV4 and I are still keeping company! Fingers crossed that it stays that way......
Thank you so much for your help and patience.
And remember I have the Red Button, too, ready for Wimbledon!
(thanks to Malone and his son!)
I am all set now for whatever Sport comes along!
A bit of a nerve- racking day ahead.....we have an appointment early afternoon at the hospital, for my husband's ( six- monthly this time) check.
We always face this with trepidation....it is of course good that the checks are carried out ( regular chest Xrays and blood tests) but it does feel like the Sword of Damocles hanging over our heads.
I do hope all will be well......
What do you have planned for the day?

Hello, Elle!
I know what you mean regarding hospital checks.
I think we all fear them a bit.
Hopefully all will be well.
I have no plans today, but will watch Ireland play football at teatime. It is wet and miserable here.
