Am I right in thinking that a Pasquale is a relative rarity these days, especially in the Prize slot?
However that might be, this was for me a welcome appearance. Some more or less unfamiliar words in the solutions and the fodder, but all very fairly and enjoyably clued.
FOI 3, LOI 5, which I got only after the completely unfamiliar 8 had yielded.
COD? Well, I liked 12 and 28, but I may be in the minority.
Thanks to Pasquale.

Pretty much the same experience as RogerM, with the LOI also being 5ac. The NE corner was the main challenge.

Look forward to Pasquale's entries, though, which always have a high standard of clueing. Still a bit haggard from going through Glyph's Genius crossword yesterday.

Hi Guys,

Similar experience to you but, like you say, the unfamiliar words were well clued and then Chambers confirmed.

Still can't see where the first 3 letters of 18d come from. The only word not used for the other letters is "organised", but that just doesn't fit.

Thanks to Pasquale for a testing but enjoyable puzzle.

Stay safe:-)

Thanks ilippu,

I was nowhere near seeing that. I ascribed too many letters to "initially".

Thanks to the Don.
Started late, found this straightforward except 9.
Probably depends on GK I lack.
Is the definition "The old way?"
