Absolutely Rocky, still a few to get in SW corner but finding it well worth the effort. Nearly gave up yesterday, resisted temptation to use Dan word came back to it today and made good progress thanks for all the help on forum. Nobody has mentioned 22a so I guess I’m being thick but would welcome a hint.
COD so far is the brilliant 24d , FOI 9a .
13 and 27 were new phrases for me.

22a parses as 3 (a form of music) and 4 (what Liverpool is an example of) - nothing to do with football!

24 is common US slang, or at least it was during my drinking days...
