The clues...
Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer, and details of any you already have. Any additional information or special instructions, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
Hints only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help with the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be on the gentle side - just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction (and certainly not anything that would spoil the puzzle for others). Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much of the them are likely to be removed.
If you feel a comment IS too revealing, please get in touch with Norah, site administrator by emailing her at Norah.evoluted@aol.com. As Norah likes to err on the side of caution, anything at all iffy is likely to be removed.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

A total delight from start to finish. Give me this over a Sabre or solving 300 Sunday times puzzles any day of the week.

Bravo Apt.

Hear, hear, (or is it "here, here"?). Am I saying "listen to me agreeing" or "here is where agreement is to be found"?

You're saying "listen to what the speaker is saying." Twice.

If my author Patrick O’Brian had it right (and he did his research pretty thoroughly) “hear, hear” was originally “hear him, hear him” in the early 19th century.
