I think you definitely have it, mattrom. Share can mean to divide into parts, so M + AY(B)E works well. “To” can be redundant but could also just mean beside.
It might be, but it’s a poor clue if it is. Cycling has a specific meaning in crosswords. The word ABCDE cycled can be BCDEA, CDEAB, DEABC, EABCD. Same order, starting at a different letter. Devil is a straight reversal of lived. No cycling involved. So it shouldn’t be the answer
