To be fair I only knew the adjective, not the longer noun formed from it, so I doubt you’re alone in that

Please help me in parsing / solving this cryptic clue -
" Perhaps money to initially buy shares? Indeed (5)"

I think this might be a double definition, with the whole of the first sentence being a somewhat obscure financial term. Collins on-line has it listed at meaning 42a, and Websters at 8a. the word starts with R

PS Let me know if I'm right (and you can't get a bigger hint than that!)

I agree with geting.
I used to work in finance and often saw the word used in the plural form, via "***s offering".
