Please help me in parsing/solving this cryptic clue :
"Most impolite fool in charge (8)"
I took Most impolite as definition and ASS for fool. Not sure whether it is okay or not

Can CREST be considered charge and CRASSEST as answer?

COARSEST? ARSE, fool, in COST, charge.

Thanks mattrom for helping me. Is my deduction of CRASSEST is not acceptable, as CREST is Charge and fool is ASS? Anything wrong with that answer?

Bharat, I thought of Crassest right away but decided against it as Crest and Charge simply didn't work (and I looked at a couple of dictionaries to check). Mattrom's answer works much better, though I don't like it ie the 'fool' part) much!

Bharat, in your defence both a charge and a crest are heraldic devices, but the charge is fairly specific to a shield, I think, so it’s a bit loose to consider them synonymous in crossword terms. Very good try, though

Interestingly, they decided to accept both CRASSEST and COARSEST as correct in the end
