Rocky, 5a was a gimme for me, but then I'm a mathematician. You're looking for a branch of mathematics.

Nor me Chris. Also, the one letter “President” is not in Chambers, Collins or the ODE as an accepted abbreviation.

Totally ad free I can now report I have finished. I had the wrong first word in 6d which was throwing me off. Even with the right word I can't parse it. Most of the difficulty with this was my GK but I have struggled a bit with the parsing. Perhaps as they are not a frequent Prize setter I'm not used to Pangakupu but I was not anti the puzzle as a whole as I like a challenge.

FOI after a strong start was 1a. LOI 5d.

COD 14a which was a tad clunky but nice. Thanks Pangakupu.
