Tried rotating rings and one possible name appeared but not another.

Ha! Haha! Ho ho ho. Penny finally dropped with huge clang. I got through all this except one radial, got theme and eight names and rings 1 and 3 etc but couldn't figure what "the two missing" names would mean or the biblical thang. I even tried rotating the rings, and spotted one of the names that would reveal, but not the other. Then was pondering my final remaining radial and thought "what a coincidence that the thing in this clue matches... OHHHH". By their fruits indeed. Loved the clues, love the construction, clever rings that helped with the harder answers, ingenious overlaps so the jumbles are all unambiguous, thematic endgame once finally understood, and it even has a thematic appearance! Many thanks Arcadia. What a classic few months this has been.

Pretty sure I’ve got everything finished, including the rotations, but fed up of tediously looking at the names (8 obvious ones in the ring, one other seems to be in a radial, not sure about the tenth, plus the two that emerge after rotations). Think I’m going to jack it in, as I just can’t see, or don’t know, any connection between them.

I suggest googling the names separately rather than together

Quiz, you might find posts 43 to 45 helpful. They were for someone else in the same boat.

quiz, when you rotate rings 2 to 6 all ten of the names will still be intact along with the two missing ones. You need to figure out what the other four names are, two visible already and two more which will emerge after the rotating. There isn't a particular connection between the names themselves -- I spent a while hopefully googling combinations of the names to no effect at all! The connection is, in a sense, right in front of you.
