I'm not loving this. Over half-way but my south-west corner is still pretty empty and despite the hints I don't get the parsing for 10,25. Took me ages to get it and I'm not familiar with it at all, too young I guess. The 11,2,3 issue also confused me for a while.
Enjoyed some of the clues though, 5d, 24a, and 26a particularly.
Hints for anything in the SW other than 25a would be good!

Don’t want to stray into spoilers but hopefully these hints are still cryptic enough...!

SW corner... 21d, maybe an antonym of simple?

23ac, classic kids weapon for dishing out veg??

I am intrigued by the theme, which seems to be regarded as an iconic event, but I don’t really get why. Maybe you had to live through that time to understand the cultural importance. (I was a toddler!) It was a nice opportunity to learn a bit more about this famous piece of history.

My way in was 17a also. Had to google a list for others.

Still stuck on 4d, 9a, 14a

I have no idea what’s going on at 13d. My answer fits the definition of the words after the comma but I can’t see how any of the other words come in to it...

Plenty of clever and pleasing clues. I enjoyed the use of “sandwiches” in 1d. First time I have come across this used as an indicator. Rather good.

hi femmenoire
"baby" in 13d is metaphorical, it's bill gates, of course

9a part of the thing 10 comes from, without first letter. Also where 25 are kept and I read 10,25 was in fact held on one of these
