I enjoyed this grid - although it's taken me a while, I've got all bar one , 14a. This doesn't seem to have given anyone else any difficulties, which may mean I have something else wrong.
Rate working for police? Coppers quietly resigning.

For 17d I couldn't decide between the "sea ridge" or the "to the exclusion of".

I also haven't parsed 24a where I know who the "potter" is but can't make sense of the rest - ha! pun šŸ˜ƒ

24a is the usual two letter acronym for artist plus N for north around a. thing the said potter might use, meaning countryman
