Like others, I lack the final country (the one in its native language, that is). All the anagram searchers I've found yield no answer. I've even tried all 2-letter combination to see whether an obscure IVR helps, but it doesn't. It would seem that solvers are being asked to arrive at an answer which is neither in BRB, nor in an ordinary atlas, or other list of common nouns. Is this entirely fair? (And a hint would help, if my moaning hasn't put you all off, like the first letter or two, or even the relevant continent.)

It's two words (4,5 letters) the last word is the usual spelling - the last two letters of the first word are not usual.

I just picked this up again today and find most have moved on.

Still need help:
20d. Tailless ox no longer yoked to tailless ox
crosses over (8)

35a. Registrar periodically makes entry in
standard classification of birds (7)

22d. See true soul in tax inspector (6)

Wordplay may have an extra letter.

20 - 'Tailless' is the def - a 4 letter ox minus the last letter (this is where the 2nd 'tailless' comes in) followed by a 4 letter extinct ox around O.

35 - regular letters from 'Registrar' (but the first of these is extra) with a 4 letter word for a 'standard' outside - def is a class of birds.

22 - It's V(ide) + the soul (5 letters) in Hinduism.

Can someone please help me with 26a?
