Hi, Rusty!
All is well up in the North - west!
My cousin and I have had a good chat, talking for our usual hour.
Yes, I, too, prefer to use the same few "used books" sellers.
Generally speaking, one knows then what one will get!
I don't often go on eBay though......preferring to use up the vouchers given to me for Amazon.
Are your friends home now?
It has turned very cold here.....maybe we shall have a frosty morning tomorrow.

Hello, Elle!
Good to hear your cousin is to the fore!
I agree, I prefer "known" sellers.
I prefer eBay because the books are often cheaper there, than on Amazon, and I don't have to dodge Prime etc!
I have gift card credit on Amazon, too.
Yes, my friends are home.
Their daughter's friend was with them.
First time she had been to Scotland!
Can't beat a sunny frosty morning!

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
Despite the sudden drop in temperature, we have no frost!
Weak sunshine, very cold, and muddy underfoot on the grass.
A pleasant walk though....good to be out!
How is it up your way ?
I hope the "newbie" enjoyed her first visit to Scotland?
My first trip there was to the Black Isle (in my youth!) when a group of us rented a house, and went up there for a fortnight's holiday.
We drove up in three cars.... stopping off at various places en route.
I remember the fun we had......but little of the detail of our surroundings, as it was all so long ago!

Good morning, Elle!
Fine day here.
No frost, but black ice everywhere.
I was at the cemetery earlier and it was cold!
Yes, the young lady had a great time, she said.
Many years since I was at the Black Isle.
Mostly, I headed North West when I reached the Black Isle.

Hi, Rusty!
I seem to have had a busy morning......haven't stopped once.
But at least I have achieved a lot!
I haven't been down to the cemetery / crematorium for quite a while.
I felt bad about not being able to take the Christmas wreath that I had bought to lay on the memorial stone.....but with my husband ill, I had no means of getting there.
Ah well, these things cannot be helped.
Now you know my Geography......
If you turn North -west when reaching the Black Isle, where does that take you?
Dog and I must pop out to the post box at some stage.
I have six birthday cards to post!
Two are for grandchildren; our granddaughter will be 10, and BB will be 8 this week.
Where do the years go?

Hello, Elle!
The wind is picking up here.
Storm Brendan?
I am heading out soon for a walk, but doubt if I'll be out for very long!
I have a birthday card to post, too!
I used to head to Wester Ross from the Black Isle.
My family loved it there.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
It is a tad blustery here, too,...but nothing too strenuous as yet.
I hope you managed a walk without battling too hard against the wind?
Dog and I are just about to go down to the post box.
I have heard you mention Wester Ross.
Isn't that where you and the boys used to go camping?

Good evening, Elle!
It's pretty wild here!
I walked as far as ALDI as I was low on milk.
Managed to buy another half a dozen items, though!
Yes, we loved Wester Ross.
We camped, and hired caravans and cottages, too.
If you like that kind of country it's great, but the remoteness etc is not for everyone.
The only drawback for me were the midges.
They can be extremely annoying!

Hi, Rusty!
It's gotten pretty boisterous here, as well......the wind is roaring!
And despite that , it is now raining very heavily......and feeling very chilly!
The dog and I got wet on our walk.
Wester Ross sounds great..
I love "deserted" places ....
I like to have the beach , for instance, more-or -les to ourselves, and walk for miles by the sea.
"Cold Feet" with James Nesbitt is back tonight!
I know you don't watch this...but I have watched it since the programme's beginning, and have always enjoyed it!
This is now ten years on, for all the characters.
I have set the recorder though, as I shall probably watch it tomorrow......
(when I can fast forward through all the adverts!)

Hello, Elle!
I think the weather is hitting most of the country!
There are great unspoiled beaches in Wester Ross.
Gruinard Bay is probably the best known...and there are great beaches at Big Sand, Red Point, Mellon Udrigle, Firemore Beach, and at Gairloch...and many more!
And as for walks and mountains to climb...well, take your pick!
That's how I watch my programmes, fast forward through the ads!
