Good afternoon, Elle!
Still quite cold here.
Don't you like Aldi?
I have one near me that I visit now and again.
I like it.
I am going out for a wee while.
Just for a walk.
Not sure where, but it will be a fairly short one.
Had a look in at the Loch website.
Lovely day at Dunkeld!

Bushfires raging, a billion animals and 25 humans killed so far, Iran and the USA squaring up for a fight that may kill millions and what is the news full of?

How cares anyway? (I'm ducking)

chris- we camped outside Ballyvaughn. Just wonderful views.

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Did you have a good walk?
Where did you go?
It is raining heavily here.....cats, dogs, and pink elephants!......so I am staying put.
No, I am not a fan of Aldi.....
I only went there this morning, as it was near to the chemist, and otherwise I should then have had to walk even further, in the opposite direction, to shop at Sainsbury's.
I only wanted bread, though, so it was not too arduous a task.
I quite like Tesco....but that requires a bus!
You have a Tesco quite near you, don't you?
Do you often shop there?

Hello, Elle!
I was out about twenty minutes, just.
Headed towards the park then turned back.
My only beef with ALDI is it does not sell newspapers.
I have a TESCO about the same distance from home as ASDA.
I only buy petrol there.
I do not like the layout of the store.
The ground floor is a car park, the first floor is where you shop.
It's the only supermarket that I know of, that's like that.
There are stairs and an escalator installed, but I much prefer ASDA.
Just renewed my car insurance.
Used a comparison site and saved a good bit of money!
How's you and World of Books getting on today?

Hi, Rusty!
I have just realised that it is Thursday, and by now your son is probably with you!
But I shall send this now anyway, whilst I have a few moments......
It has been a tad fraught here, today.
My Tesco store is the reverse of yours!
The ground floor is the shopping area, with some ground floor parking.
The first floor is entirely a car park!
We have a lift and a travellator.
I finally had a reply from the "World of Books" Customer Service Advisor.
He was trying to justify the sending of photographs , but then told me that his manager had intervened, and had said that I was to be fully recompensed forthwith!
I seemingly can expect the money to be in my account within 2 days.
Good for the manager!
I shall offer to return the soiled book (and then they can see its dirty state for themselves) if they provide me with a paid up front "Returns" label!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, my son was here.
That's the sort of reply I would expect from World of Books.
They probably do not want the book back.
Seems to be a sensible outcome, though?

Hi, Rusty!
I hope you and your son had a good chat?
How is the new house coming along?
Yes, it was good of the W.o.B manager to intervene, and give me my money back....and I have thanked him for this .
I would have been more impressed, though, had this been the company's immediate reaction to a customer, rather than expecting me to produce photos, for which I have no facility to so do.
I also feel that had I not sent a strongly worded letter of protest, the outcome would have been less than satisfactory?
I am awaiting their second book with some trepidation......

Good morning, Elle!
Hard frost and icy roads and pavements here!
Lovely day, though!
The new house seems to be fine, I think.
I think the World of Books outcome would have been the same, photo or no.
I am sure your second book will be fine.
The store has a very good reputation and I am sure they want to keep it that way.
My friends are on the boat heading for Cairnryan.
The crossing is fairly calm, though the forecast is for it to be pretty wild later on, today.

Good morning, Rusty!
Dull, cloudy and cold here!
Dog and I were out earlier as usual, but it was a pretty miserable start to the day.
A little bit of sunshine has an amazingly good psychological effect!
We could have all done with a boost!
Well, I am glad, of course, to get my money back from W.o.B, but my previously good opinion of them has taken a steep nose-dive.
They should have treated "the customer" with respect initially, instead of waffling on about photos for "proof".
I asked whether they wanted the book returned (as evidence!)..... but some dimwit told me to give it to a Charity shop!
I wonder what part of "this book is absolutely filthy" they didn't grasp?
I shall use an alternative "used" book store in future.
Oh, your friends are coming over from Norn Iron for the weekend...... that will be nice.
Are you planning to meet up at the Pine Come tomorrow?

Hello, Elle!
Frost still not melted here.
But a beautiful day.
I think World of Books behaviour was the same as most book shops.
Perfectly reasonable, as was Amazon's response.
And I don't think you should be calling employees "dimwits".
My friends caught the early sailing this morning and have just passed Stirling on their way here.
Excellent progress.
Yes, meeting up at Pine Cone.
They visit the cemetery on their way there.
