Good morning, Rusty!
Dull, cloudy and cold here!
Dog and I were out earlier as usual, but it was a pretty miserable start to the day.
A little bit of sunshine has an amazingly good psychological effect!
We could have all done with a boost!
Well, I am glad, of course, to get my money back from W.o.B, but my previously good opinion of them has taken a steep nose-dive.
They should have treated "the customer" with respect initially, instead of waffling on about photos for "proof".
I asked whether they wanted the book returned (as evidence!)..... but some dimwit told me to give it to a Charity shop!
I wonder what part of "this book is absolutely filthy" they didn't grasp?
I shall use an alternative "used" book store in future.
Oh, your friends are coming over from Norn Iron for the weekend...... that will be nice.
Are you planning to meet up at the Pine Come tomorrow?

Hello, Elle!
Frost still not melted here.
But a beautiful day.
I think World of Books behaviour was the same as most book shops.
Perfectly reasonable, as was Amazon's response.
And I don't think you should be calling employees "dimwits".
My friends caught the early sailing this morning and have just passed Stirling on their way here.
Excellent progress.
Yes, meeting up at Pine Cone.
They visit the cemetery on their way there.

Hi, Rusty!
Sunshine and blue sky here, too, now........what a sudden change!
I think we shall have to agree to differ over W.o.B's staff behaviour.....
The entire dispute was over the book being in an extremely dirty, disgusting, state.
It should never have been sent to me like that.....
And however could I donate such as that to a Charity shop?
Amazon , however, came up trumps as usual.......and rode to the rescue in shining armour!
Yes, your friends seem to be making the journey in good time.
You will all enjoy meeting up tomorrow!
Are your granddaughters free to go with you?

Hello, Elle!
Anyway, your problem has been satisfactory resolved, that's the main thing.
(I knew it would be!)
My friends have landed.
They are in a hotel in town and are very pleased with it.
Yes, Miss O and Miss L-B are going with me.

Good evening, Rusty!
Are your friends staying somewhere different this visit?
Are they near to the nursing home where your friend's mum lives?
Yes, it will be great all of you getting together tomorrow.......
Which of your granddaughters will be doing the driving?!
We had rain after our brief spell of sunshine......

Hello, Elle!
They usually stay in a hotel in town.
This one may be new to them, I do not know.
THe care home is not too far off.
Several minutes driving.
I never know which of them will be driving.

Hi, Rusty!
I have just been watching a new serial ....."Deadwater Fell"
David Tennant is in it.
I am very confused already....and this is only episode One!
The story is being told with a lot of flashbacks, and hidden innuendos....
It is as well that I am recording it, as I think I may need to watch it through again to get the hang of the story!
I need a strong coffee now to clear my head!

Good morning, Elle!
Wild weather here.
Road bridge closed to all traffic.
Pine Cone rendezvous is doubtful, I'd say.
I'm recording the skiing though, just in case we do go.
Started the puzzle, looks quite tricky today.

Good morning, Rusty!
It is dull but dry, here.
No wind though.
A pity if you cannot get to the Pine Cone.... but could you not meet up with your friends elsewhere?
You will be wanting to see each other, whilst they are over from NI.
Hopefully, you can sort something out!
Yes, a good move to record the skiing......
I haven't done a crossword - other than the Everyman! - for about two weeks now.
But I shall take a look at today's puzzle most probably, later on......
Have fun, if you do go out!
