And to compound the felony, I have now received an email from World of Books asking for two photographs of the book!
How on earth am I expected to do that?
My mobile cannot perform "tricks"!
I fear I am about to lose my temper....!
Do they really think I am going to lie about the condition of a book that only cost me £2-96?!
I consider this a disgrace......
I shall email them back with my poor opinion of their services!
On to "Murder...."...
I found that very interesting...... and was pleased that the investigators reached the decision that the conviction was "unsafe".

No, it is in Gaelic, but there are sub-titles, and much of the conversations Anne has with locals are in English.
You would have no problem following it.
Last week in Kerry, Anne spoke Scots Gaelic to a local man who responded in Irish, and they understood each other quite easily.
They were discussing the Spanish Armada!

That's only the second "unsafe" conviction I have seen, and I think that's nine episodes I've seen.

The email message came from a Customer Service Advisor for W.o.B, via Amazon.
I have replied to that email address.
I have told W.o.B they are a disgrace, doubting my word, and expecting me to provide photographic evidence!
When in reality, they should be apologising to me, and bowing their heads in collective shame!
We shall see what happens now.......
I have yet to watch "Two Go to Tolsta"..... but I shall get there.....

I have only once had a problem with the condition of a secondhand book from amazon - the last few pages were stuck together. I offered to return it but the seller said keep it and refunded my money, including postage. Another time a secondhand book didn't arrive, also refunded.
Maybe WoB feels that people are cheating too often, so wants proof from everyone. Though proof of non-arrival is difficult! I can't understand the packer sending out a book that filthy.

chris- I expect you were in Co Clare partly for the Burren. Have spent some time there myself bum in air looking down the rock fissures fore rare plants myself.

It looks like all your correspondence with W o B will go through Amazon, which is how it should be.
Now, this is not gospel, just what I think.
Amazon allow companies to trade in their Marketplace and customers buying under the Amazon auspices will have Amazon's guarantee regarding satisfaction.
I think you will be refunded, but you may have to wait.
Amazon may give World of Books a certain amount of time to reimburse you, before Amazon step in and reimburse you, and close the case.
That's what happens on eBay, anyway.

Yes indeed - plant hunting on the Burren. We stayed twice near Clarinbridge. The third stay, somewhere in the wilds on the Burren (I forget exactly where) was with friends, and more of a mountain-biking trip!
