Hello, Elle!
Right, I understand about the shopping!
Mikaela is over a second behind Petra and that is an awful lot in the slalom.
I doubt if she can do it, if Petra has a clean run.
But if anyone can do it, Wonder Woman can!
I'll let you know how the second run goes.
Just watched a video clip of the Bristol Rovers fans singing "Goodnight, Irene".
It's their club song. Very enjoyable!

Hi, Rusty!
I am not well versed as to timings in the slalom....a second sounds very short to me!
But obviously that is not so in the context of skiing...... it is very crucial timing!
Anyway...fingers crossed for Mikaela!
I have "Good Night, Irene " as an earworm now.....
I like Eric Clapton's version.

Hello, Elle!
Mikaela flew down the mountain!
She had a super run and took the lead.
Then Petra raced down even quicker!
A win for Petra today and well deserved, and Mikaela was first to congratulate her.
Katharina Liensberger was third.
And there was a beautiful red sunset as well!
I liked Eric Clapton's version, too.
I noticed Albert Lee playing guitar for him, too.
When the Bristol Rovers fans sing it, it sounds like "Goodnoight Oirene!
Great to hear!

Good evening, Rusty!
Well done to all three skiers!
You have obviously had a great, enjoyable afternoon's viewing.
My Canadian (ex Brit) old school friend in Calgary tells me that she has January booked up for snowshoeing, and cross country skiing!
She says (I quote) "haven’t done the latter in years; could be looking for an accident!"
Oh dear!
And she is going on the first downhill ski trip the last week in this month.
The mountains there are buried in snow, with lots of road closures and avalanches....
She is welcome to it!
Liver, onions, and bacon with mashed potato for dinner!
It will be ready soon.

Good evening, Elle!
Yes, I love the Alpine skiing.
There were several Canadians racing today.
No crashes today either!

This is a 5 minute clip of Mikaela on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
At the end she teaches Jimmy how to "shuffle dance"!

Good morning, Rusty!
A dry but dull day here......mildish at 7C.
How is it up your way?
Mikaela is very pretty and has a pleasant personality.
I enjoyed watching her teach Jimmy the "shuffle dance"!
He was very good at it!
I need to take the Christmas tree down today.....Twelfth Night tomorrow!
But for now...coffee and the Everyman.......

Good morning, Elle!
It's a bit cloudy here but that's OK!
I took my cards and little tree down yesterday.
Mikaela is the biz.
She is very popular with her fellow competitors.
She got on well with Jimmy on the Tonight show.
I thought it was quite funny!
I saw a video recently of her new house.
It would not be the kind of house I would want, but it is very special, up in the mountains in Colorado.
Good luck with the Everyman.

Hi, Rusty!
I have had some trouble with the crossword site this morning......
I keep being informed that it is "not responding"?
Have you had any difficulties accessing the Forum?
And even when I've achieved that, the response is extremely slow......in opening a thread , for instance...
I wonder whether this is widespread, or something peculiar to me?
The Everyman was fairly straightforward this morning...
I prefer more of a "tussle" in solving it!
I still have several recordings to catch up on....including those on BBC iPlayer that you sent me!
Just one or two more jobs to do...and then I shall sit down...and watch!

Hello, Elle!
I have had no trouble getting on the site.
Seems to be normal, for me.
Have you tried switching your computer off, then on again?
That can fix problematic issues, sometimes.
Miss ATW has just left.
She was doing her weekly shop and got a couple of things for me.

Hi, Rusty!
I don't think - I'm hoping not - that it is a computer problem, Rusty.
The difficult seems to lie just with this site.
I also keep finding myself logged off here , when I haven't touched anything!
I have just finished watching the "Wild Atlantic Way" with Anne Lundon on BBC iPlayer.
Fantastic scenery in Cork and Kerry.....
I really wish that I could do some walking there.....whilst I am still fit enough to do so!
I suppose you have yourself walked all along much of the West coastline at some stage?
I found the pipe making fascinating!
Not so much the chocolate making, though...I am not all that fond of chocolate!
I am looking forward to the rest of the series!
