Good morning, Elle!
Still a bit rainy here!
I am home for the day now.
Had a trip to ASDA and ALDI earlier.
Hope the weather in Yorkshire is not too bad.
I'm looking forward the elite men's time trial today.
Don't want the weather spoiling it!

A Very Good morning to you, Rusty!
It is still wet here, too, but fortunately the rain is much lighter today, than it was yesterday.
We have no transport today.
Our mechanic came to collect the car late yesterday, to take it for a service.
He will bring it back sometime this evening
A friend very kindly came to pick dog and me up this morning to take us to the park.
The distance is walkable, but an additional two miles in the rain is not high on my list of "desirable things to do"!
No transport...and rain..... I think I am in for the day now!
I hope the weather keeps fine in Yorkshire for the racing.
It is time now for a coffee and the crossword.......

Hi, Rusty!
We have had rain on and off all the morning... a truly miserable day!
How are you faring with the Elite Men's Time Trials.......is the rain holding off?
It certainly looked dangerous on the roads yesterday, in all that heavy rain.
I finished my puzzle earlier.....barring 10a which I could not do....
It makes chairs more comfy? Not initially (5)
O?I?R
The only word that I can think of that will fit is "osier" - (c)osier - but this is a willow tree, or foliage of which is used for basketry.
Can it "make chairs"?
Surely a rather stretched meaning, if that is what is implied?
I liked 20a: dental surgeons; 2d: leitmotiv ( altho I would more usually spell it with an "f"); and 21d: nadir
Still awaiting another parcel!

Hello, Elle!
Rain has stopped here.
And dry roads in Yorkshire!
Racing is good.
I like looking at all the innovative developments of components on the bikes.
Very, very, high tech!
Chris Boardman was saying they are expecting 3 million spectators on Sunday for the men's road race.

Posts crossed, Elle!
I have (c)osier, too.
I just presumed that chairs can be made from osier.
No idea, though!
I have seen "leitmotiv" before, but needed Collins to tell me what it meant!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I see that our earlier posts crossed!
The rain has finally stopped here, too.
And my parcel has just arrived a few minutes go.....
That was a long wait!
I am glad that you are enjoying the cycling!
And glad too that there have been no more spills!
Now...I seem to have a technical problem.....
When I returned to my computer about half an hour ago, I found that the font size of absolutely everything had changed.
In some instances the writing is extremely tiny...
I can still read it but something has obviously happened to the "sizeing"?
But I have checked the official settings and am told I am on the recommenced 100%, which is what I usually have it on...
So why has everything gone so small?
And if I "enlarge " it, the page sizes are somehow distorted!
I did clean the keyboard earlier?
Could I inadvertently have touched something?
It's all usable, but a pain!
Any ideas?

Hello, Elle!
I think there were one or two spills in the time trial.
Cyclist will always find a way to crash!
I think you have altered some settings when cleaning the keyboard.
You may have to find a way to restore things to default?
Do you have a "Help" section you can get into.
That's what I have on my Chromebook.
It is brilliant for solving things.
My keyboard layout is different from yours, I think, but have you tried, "control and alt and +" to see if the font gets bigger?
It will be something fairly simple.

Hi, Rusty!
I can change the fonts - both type and size - but not back to what it was before the "mishap".
But I don't like the set - up I can then get.
Now I have followed the video clip that you kindly sent....
But I am not allowed to click on the 'Restore font to default settings' part....
I do not know why?
I can manage with the situation as it is, for now - it's a good job that I am able to read very small print!
What do you think of my trying "System Restore"?
If I can take it back a day or two?
I think it perhaps worth a try?
But that usually takes a long time.....and puts my computer out of action for an hour or so...
So I shall leave that till I am no longer wanting to use the computer, and do it at bedtime.

Hello, Elle!
I think your idea of System Restore is well worth a try.
I'd forgotten about System Restore!
It is a few years since I had a computer with that facility on it, but I do remember using System Restore and it worked perfectly.
Your idea of doing it at bedtime makes sound sense, too.
It's odd that you can't "restore fonts", but I have no experience of that.
(My Chromebook setup is completely different to Windows etc.)
