Hello, Elle!
Think you are right about the judging!
Issy was excellent.
I am curious to see what Stavros Flatley will do.
The roller skaters are Billy and Emily.
I really liked them!

Hi, Rusty!
Wow! I wasn't expecting that!
When you said "roller skating", I was expecting perhaps dancing?
I did not envisage an acrobatic act on roller skates!
And the audience's reactions were fascinating to watch!
Some were fearful...others just admiring...
I shall look forward to seeing Billy and Emily this evening.
I am going to watch the show tonight, as I shall be recording "Casualty", which overlaps.
Are you watching now ......or recording to look at later?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I watched the show.
My favourite acts were Issy Simpson, Stavros Flatley, Preacher Lawson, and Billy and Emily!
I agree with Stavros and Preacher going to the final.
Loved seeing Stavros Flatley again for sheer fun!
And Preacher was very funny.
I wondered if his act may have been too American for the audience, when he mentioned Darci Lynne and Tyra Banks quite a few times, and I can't quite tune in to his accent!
I liked tonight's show, and the old pensioner is growing on me!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I think Stavros Flatley appeal to most people because father and son both come over as being so nice!
They brought a lot of pleasure to both audience and viewers.
I wasn't surprised by Simon's pressing the Golden Buzzer!
I agree with you about young Issy Simpson....who is still exceptionally talented and confident.
And Emily and Billy England, who are most impressive.
I also liked Bonnie Anderson, whom I had heard singing before on several occasions, and I had liked her then.
I think they were my favourite three acts for whom to vote.
But I did not like Preacher Lawson at all....
I thought him loud and brash and not in the least bit funny!
I was sorry to see him go through to the Final.
Colin Thackeray put on a lovely tribute - again - to his dead wife.
And I think he is a sincere and rather sweet old man......but this is a talent show, not a tribute show.....
So while I applaud his sentiments... I do not think he deserved to go further.
And I thought "Tape Face " was weird?!
Whatever was that all about?!

Hello, Elle!
Well, we agree about Tape Face!
I thought he was rubbish!
I like Stavros Flatley, they are good fun, even though not quite up there with Diversity!
I like Preacher, but he is difficult to understand, for me.
Just his accent.
Issy was super, I thought, and, yes, very confident.
I like Colin, he seems a fine lad, and a reasonable singer, but I won't be buying his record!
Which two acts did you want to go to the final?

Hi, Rusty!
Had I been able to vote, I should have gone for Issy, and Billy and Emily, to go through to the Final.
I liked Bonnie, the singer, but thought she had sung better whenever I had heard her previously, than she did on tonight's show.
I wonder how my daughter is doing in her Marathon Night Walk?
It started at 7 pm...I hope she is finished before the forecasted rain starts at 3 am.
We are set for thunderstorms, too.

Good morning, Rusty!
I am just home from a wet walk!
There is no sign yet of the threatened thunderstorms though.
My daughter made it to the end of the Marathon Night Shine Walk (43.10 Km) in just under eight hours.
Well done her!
Right......a coffee now and a look at the Everyman crossword!!

Good morning, Elle!
Fine morning here, but it is chilly.
Your daughter did very well, indeed!
Your husband and you must be very proud of her!
And her own family, of course!
I have no plans today, but I'll have a look at the cycling World Championships in the afternoon.
Today's event is a mixed men and women team time trial.
No idea how that will work! A new event to me!
But the Championships are taking place in Yorkshire this week, so that should be good.
Billy and Emily seem to be doing very well for themselves in Las Vegas!

Hi, Rusty!
Still rainy here, but very mild.
Yes, we are very proud of our daughter's efforts.
She has set up a Giving page for Cancer Research :UK online, and the Sponsorship money from her walk goes directly to the charity.
She was doing the walk in honour of her Godmother ( a very close friend of mine) and an old schoolfriend of her own, both of whom sadly lost their fights with Cancer.
The company for whom my daughter works is going to donate the same amount as her total Sponsorship money, which is very generous of them.
It is a very worthy cause!
I finished the Everyman puzzle quite quickly....
I prefer it when it is hard enough for a lingering "struggle" with the odd parsing...or two!
But I have yet to start the ST Cryptic, so that is next on my agenda, when I have finished reading the last chapter of my book.
What time is your cycle racing on?

Hello, Elle!
Well done, your daughter's work contributing!
"Just Giving" is a good scheme.
My pal has a page on it.
Him and three pals left here last week and are cycling to Alicante in Spain.
They have cycled down through Scotland, ferry to Norn Iron, rode down the Wild Atlantic Way to Cork, and a ferry from there to France yesterday.
Down through France and across the Pyrenees to Spain.
It is for breast cancer charity.
They are scheduled to do it in four weeks.
Cycling is on every afternoon this week on BBC.
