Good afternoon, Rusty!
Our rain came early!
It poured down on the way to the dentist!
However, it is sunshining again now - definitely chillier though.
Now.......I have taken a local census.........."Where do you keep your biscuits once the packet has been opened ?" said I.
"Why, in the biscuit tin, of course" replied everyone, to a man, very firmly!
Biscuits tins are still sold in our neck of the woods!
I have finished my crossword.......partly by courtesy of the dentists, who always provide "The Times" for their patients!
Re 9a...."Marshalsea (an old prison in Southwark) sounding like "Ma shall see" works fine for me!
I parsed 15d as follows :
dishcloth = washer-up (def)
C- Charlie
loth- reluctant
and
dish - outmanoeuvre?
( Although I always considered "dish" more to mean "scupper" than "outmanoeuvre"?)
I liked 5d: Charity; and 18d: "oregano"
No problem with the numbering of the posts here?
