Apologies if I've given away too much.

In Response to (Meursault)
If sending in your entry, don't forget to highlight cell 2,12 (thus making the diagonal highlighting symmetrical). Otherwise, although you may have identified 30 cells, you've only highlighted 29.

Meursault,

I can't see what you mean. There is a group of cells to be highlighted in the bottom LH corner. How does any of that make the diagonal highlighting symmetrical?

I agree, "demeter" ---- nothing symmetrical here at all!

I think it is the label 2,12 which is wrong and meursault was referring to how much of the diagonal should be highlighted - that would be symmetrical.

I think Meursault meant 2, 11 as the diagonal is a three word phrase.

Barreter, you're correct. The indefinite article might inadvertently be missed because 36, 14 isn't preceded by one.

There was an earlier query by Melbourne. The '@' in your comment was pleonasm. The day is 'Anzac Day'. You refer to British casualties, perhaps you tell me what percentage were English. Maybe you can't. But I assure you that casualties from England were not the majority.

An Inappropriate them for the Gallipoli centenary. It is Anzac Day.

Surely meursault was referring to "a" in case it was omitted (only giving a 2 word phrase) which if you use (x,y) coordinates is (2,12) but the reference to symmetry baffles me.

Ginge, you'll have to excuse various typos - but the symmetry is in the highlit cells of the central diagonal.

Hi meursault, your previous post wasn't there when I began typing. However, I see the symmetry of the diagonal but not the relevance, please expand.

This (New Zealand-based) site indicates that soldiers from UK/Ireland suffered roughly half the Allied casualties at Gallipoli:

Perhaps meursault was scaling by the size of the armies. That would allow melbourne to be correct while preserving meursault's right to be offended.
