Grid full but stuck on the endgame now - anyone?

xwordfan - look for a circle of letters and also straight across the centre of the grid.

i can see radius but no more! What am i missing?!

Has it something to do with an Irish poet, or only with the organisation in the capital?

Today's date is significant, as it quite often is in Listener puzzles. But you need to think MMDDYY

Look for a continuous circle of letters one square in from the edges of the grid and think numbers.
