Strange! On both Chrome and Firefox, it says my settings have blocked the application. And "Ignore" doesn't help.

Me too. Mind you, I have never got it to load correctly.

you may need to change the java security level just while you load the crossword - control panel - java , brings up the java control panel, click on security tab and lower the level to medium and apply.

I can't see any special instructions (nor a final date). Am I missing something?

No - no special instructions but Boatman usually has a hidden theme. I expect the closing date will be March 1st or 2nd as March Genius will appear on Monday March 3rd?
