Okay, thanks Buzzybee - much appreciated.

No issues with the grid fill or finding the message from extra letters, but I knew nothing about the "framework". Amazingly, Google's AI was able to teach me enough about the framework to identify the 7 "keys" to the "15-30-7", and then identify which specific "15-30-7" uses those keys. Remarkable.

Buzzybee, found my mistake. I had the right answer but couldn't see the wodrplay until now, thanks again.

I see it as 2 (state) reversed containing 2, 1, leaving an extra word...

8d has an extra letter not an extra word

You night owls and non_UK based solvers have been quick off the mark- thanks Jono for the link.

I know next to nothing about the framework but went for what I thought was the obvious (at least for us Brits in this instance) and as buddy states, it turned out to be correct
