I thought 13ac was a double definition.

Oh dear - Vlad not my favourite and my back is in spasm and a lot of pain
However, it must be easier than usual Vlads as I've done all but four in the south west corner, though can't fully parse loads. I was caught out by 23d and there are some words I didn't know.

Can i have a hint for 17d and 20ac. Then I might get 22d an 24ac.

Hi roof. 17d parses as 2,4 (where you may find me) then 2 - definition is the final word

Also, I don’t see a 20a but 20d parses as debtors (5) around point (1).

Hi Roof, sorry to hear about you back and hope it heals soon, or at least you've got lots of pain killers:-)

17d - 2,4 "where you might me" then 2 letter "not contracted" (I initially thought this was a misuse of 'contracted' but it can mean "to draw together" as well as 'shorten') - definition is "natural"

There isn't a 20a so let me know what you meant.

24a - 3 letter "wrong" goes around 2 letter "about" - definition is "warning"

24a is another envelope: wrong (3) around about (2j

Also, how’s the garden? I suppose you’ve not done much in it if you’ve got a bad back — hope it gets better soon.

Thank you all for your help. I have finished, though I'd never heard of 22ac. I should have got 24ac as I'd got the "wrong".

I often get the answers and they fit the definitions, but I can't fully parse the wordplay. Here is a list of those I couldn't fully parse:
10ac, 11ac; 12ac, 22ac, 23ac,23ac, 25ac, 2d, 5d, 6d, 7d, 9d,14d,18d.
Please don't bother to explain them as I'm going to sit down now with my hot water bottle and see if I can relieve the pain. I've taken lots of painkillers, though they can make me sleepy.
FOI 9ac closely followed by 16ac, LOI 22ac, COD 16ac and 19ac.

I'm pleased to say that my garden is looking good, though the rain today has affected the roses. The tomatoes and cucumbers in the greenhouse are coming along; we've even eaten some of the cucumbers. I think planting out some of the bedding plants I'd grown from seed was partially responsible for my back problem - that and ironing!

On the subject of 24a. I initially thought the middle letter had to be N as a result of wrongly assuming the definition of 20d was "admitting" as in 'admitting ones error' or '???ING ones error'

It was only when I couln't make any sense of 24a that I took another look at 20d and realised where I'd gone wrong.

Still, noble of me to show my natural humility by ???ING my mistake - see what I did there? Yes Bren - hilarious 🙄
