All done but also had no idea of the two trees in 18. Still can’t see “what’s hard in 10” so looking forward to my groan of appreciation. And I can’t see how 4 fits together though I am sure of the answer.

I was held up by having the wrong answer at 22a. My answer fitted the definition, but I couldn't parse it. Never heard of the correct answer, but at least it does parse!

Despite all these hints I still can't get 20d or 24 ..... last ones in, please help!

20d def is face. Parses as 2,4.
Insert the 1letter for ‘hard’ to give you the 2 (in Roman).
24 is a cryptic def which you should get once you have 20d.

Sorry, should have said ‘insert the letter for hard in your solution to 10,’ in case that wasn’t obvious!
