FOI 6a LOI 19a which was also a COD along with 6d 7d and 25a

Thanks for popping in Brockwell. I have to admit I completely missed that particular themer, but I agree it is a good one especially as the word has to be split, with the first letter being added to the theme word.

Can anyone explain how 6a works? I put in the 8th month in French ('a' from the clue followed by 'out' for 'post left after'?). But I've now had to swap that for a more general French word to make the other answers fit ...

Good thinking, but it’s the fifth French month followed by one letter for left.

@ rosencrantz It's a three-letter French month (not the 8th) plus the usual single-letter "left", the definition is "post" and forms a themed item with 1D.

Completely missed the 1a themer Brockwell. Makes me feel even better about choosing it as COD.

Finished now but despite clues about theme I am struggling to see it must be being very dense.
