For 9, I suggest you google your answer with one of the words in the clue and see what comes up.

Birder, your letters in 25a are correct. It parses as a 7 letter word cycling and meaning collapse, followed by 2 single letters.

Well like I said, Vlad is not one I could cope with every week. Toughest prize for a long time but thoroughly enjoyable and clever everywhere you look.

FOI 14a LOI 19d which i just couldn't grasp even with the crossers in. So many great clues but 5d is so clever it has to take the prize.
