To be clear, my solution does have one unavoidable minor infelicity, a necessary hostage to symmetry. One of the originators contains a bar.

The endgame is brilliant.

I have a full grid and could fill the blank cells to give the title of a 1975 song (3,5,3), co-written by (6 and 6) whom I cannot locate. Firstly, I hope I have not been too specific for this forum and secondly, am I barking up the wrong tree (again)?
