Please help me in parsing / solving this cryptic clue -
"Charge a friend touring Spain (8)"

I parsed it on my own. Three letter word for A, four letter word for friend around one letter word for Spain and got the correct answer

Please help me in parsing / solving this cryptic clue -
"Typical country, lacking new talent, regressing primarily (9)"

It’s tricky. The first three letters are a word for skill backwards, and then it’s a European country missing the n. The answer means typical, though the word is more often seen as a noun
