13d - "Octet" hints at the the number of the 2nd word there are in our particular ........ hence "we're a member" - the answer is the title of a particular musical suite.

A fairly speedy solve here too, although one got on my wick!
16 + 19a raised smiles.

Brendan I don’t think I’m going to join you in thanking Everyman this week. Previous Everyman crosswords have been a joy - challenged but not defeated. I thought it was pitched as an entry level puzzle.

Thought this was indeed harder than usual but some good clues and still much easier than the Guardian Prize yesterday. 11a, 13d, 17a and 25a felt stretching but pleasing.

I thought this was a good challenging puzzle at about the top of my ability range. I couldn’t tease out the anagram for my penultimate clue and had to resort to a word search engine. After that, the last clue fell into place

Ah! Thank you all, now solved.

Our previous answer was just a hopeful letter-fill and completely off the mark. We were on another .........., so to speak!
