I have now reached the magnificent total of 14 solved clues, 4 of which I have tentatively entered (in the top right-hand corner). However, I am confused by the fact that there are three 3-letter answers in a grid which is to have 180 degree symmetry. These two pieces of information seem to be at odds with each other, unless the two letters to a cell factor resolves it. I have entered the first three letter answer at the top of the right-hand column, which should mean that there is a three letter word at the bottom of the left hand column, presumably one of the last two down clues. However, I have not been able to solve either of those. It would be nice to know whether what I have done so far is correct, or not.

Is the Sadly...across clue an example of a clue with an extra word, AND a double-letter cell entry?

I suspected that this was “above my pay grade” when it first appeared on line and body-swerved accordingly. Good luck to those who perservered!

I’m a rare visitor here - it’s been many years - but I thought I’d give this one a go. I have all the clues solved, but before I start the endgame I’d like to check something. I have the 9 word lengths of the instruction set. There is a 1 and the other 8 multiply to 816480. Is that correct?

Your 816,480 implies a 7 (or multiple thereof) too. Are you sure about that?
