Yes it does. 1, 1 and 4 cells unchanged.

When I saw one of the thematic entries, I thought this was going to be a brilliant, even sparkling endgame. As it was, the number of changes and the breadth of the field has left me wondering whether there are alternatives to my solutions.
'Oarsman's weight halved': that was clever.

Thanks Smithsax. That is what I now have, but one of the alterations with one unaffected cell still eludes me. Perhaps some Googling may help.

0pt0. Google might help but there are a lot of choices out there. One new entry is not in Chambers and not one I was familiar with.It is in Bradfords and that is how I got it.
The new entries all being real words helps pin down some options but I think I would have struggled without Bradfords or similar.

Mack, I really liked "Oarsman's ..." as well. Very clever.

A very enjoyable exercise for me (though not quite able to finish, but nothing wrong with that). One minor comment: why 'each' in the preamble rather than 'every'? I put 'what is the distinction between in meaning between each and every' into ChatGPT and it reinforced my perspective. As a result I spent a certain amount of time down a rabbit hole.

In context, I think they’re as close to synonymous as makes no difference. The use of either word gives the same meaning.

Thanks Smithsax. I do not have Bradfords, but I do have The Chambers Crossword Dictionary, which I believe is similar. However, there is nothing suitable in there, but I have come up with a name which works, so I will call it a day.

I am stuck completing the grid. I have two entries left, although I do have a strong candidate for one, but I can't parse it. One of these must be thematic unless I've made a mistake elsewhere, and I'm looking at 29, "Very famous theatre has no director." Is there actually a theatre involved, and if so, is it one I, a Yankee, should know? Also, I have 31 parsed, and presumably an expert of some sort, but given that there must be a misprint, not a "rocket expert." I have tried several possible alternatives, but nothing is clicking. Were I certain of the correction, I could possibly complete the instruction, and reverse engineer the rest, but alas.
