The clues...
Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer and details of any you already have. Any special instructions or additional information, common in Listener puzzles, should be included.
HINTS only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help with the theme may also be sought and given here. It is intended that the help is fairly gentle in nature, just a nudge or a pointer in the right direction. It certainly shouldn't be anything that would spoil the puzzle for others. Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much are likely to be removed.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

We think we have completed this but have no clue about 23 and 37 , which means we may be wrong about those two

Thank Paddock!!

woodlouse - I'm in much the same place. Must have been tough to compose this grid!
23D is a double definition that isn't immediately apparent in the BRB.
37A I have no idea either

woodlouse - think I've worked out 37a - very convoluted. Def is last word. Wimples is used as a verb. Hope that helps.

Agree about 37. I can't parse 1D, though I know what it must be. Nor can I see what to do with the unclueds which has anything to do with the title.

Cookie - 1D wordplay is a 7-letter word meaning 'rising more steeply; backwards; missing 'a' and 'rook'. Not a familiar usage for me.

Try 'reading' the unclued entries as a whole. Sorry if that is obscure, but early days!

Everything done except for those pesky unclueds which, by my reckoning, should contain the letter "i" twice. But as for making any sort of sense of them, I'm completely at a loss and shall now rely on a night's sleep to give some clarity in the morning.

All done...brilliant construction! Thanks Paddock!

I don't understand the wordplay to 18a though...

18a - before 2-letter word for "batting", 3-letter word for "as a" dismissing 1-letter for Australian, resulting in 4-letter word for def - the last 4 words of the clue.

Thanks, Paddock. Two weeks in a row we have had amazing constructions. I can only imagine how time consuming it must have been to construct this grid.
