Just realised my original wrong answer for 2D was basically opposite meaning of the actual answer anyway, lol.

Shame the correct answer was not in Chambers online or in the solver. I knew about the 2 letter soldiers though which turns up a great deal.

Just submitted the correct answer and definition to 2D into the solver, first time I've done that.

OH no. I haven't seen that clip for years. Poor man and poor deer !
That is Richmond Park. The park I use is Bushy Park

Brendan YES - thousands of them ! and in my garden (ringed-necked ones)

We've even had Ring-necked parakeets in our garden in East Lancs, Brendan, though only a couple of times, fortunately (they are very noisy).

Lots of stories about how they were introduced. My favourite (though probably not true) is that they were released after the filming of The African Queen.

That's great Jazzgirl, my Dad lived in W Molesey and I couldn't believe it the first time he showed them to me! I remember thinking "what are they doing here"? 😂

What a small world !
The parakeets pinch all the peanuts and chase off smaller birds.
I have had a tree full of them at one time, but only about 7 now
