Just finishing what seemed impossible at the start. One I can't get, and it hasn't been talked about (I think) so it's probably really obvious.
'Married giant-disastrous union'. I be got 4 letters so there's not many things it can be ( assuming it's not themed). Just can't parse it. Any hints?

Never come across the single letter for canine technique previously, hence my inability to parse

Thanks to all the hints on here. We really “joined up threateningly” on Maskarade to solve this

Thanks to all, finished it now. (Too tied up with parental care worries to think properly laterally about mum, despite the missing capital and my comments earlier about precision).

I'm suddenly reminded of working through a similarly-themed Araucaria with an opera-loving friend, to mutual satisfaction; then her immense frustration a week or so later when I directed her attention to the next themed Araucaria and she realised she was expected to know Britney Spears songs!

Nice one Maskarade, keep it up, and thanks again to all comrades here. Now (at last) to look at Everyman

Well said Luko, and thanks for reminding me that Britney Spears is an anagram of PRESBYTERIANS
