Yes the 3rd episode of Vigil was desperately dull, and your suggestion might improve it

In the Times Cryptic today (28079): 4 o'clock = ESE. Well, no not actually. Too loose for my liking.

Mathprofrockstar, I would never have got tha. Well, I might have completed the word from crossing letters, but the '4 'clock, ESE' is totally new to me - and I don't like it much.

I think 3.45 might be `ESE` ... not 🕓

Yes I think the 15 min difference is too much. I would be happy with "SE by E" for 4 o'clock, althought it is still 7.5 mins out.

I was not happy with the "mews, muse" clue earlier in the week, but I suppose it works for some people.

Annoying re Test, I was going for 2 days.
